The event took place Centre MK, a shopping mall, which allowed for free entry. This unusual setting resulted in a blend of regular shoppers and convention-goers, leading to a noticeable decrease in the number of cosplayers compared to previous events.

Finally Got My Photo with Colette!

The convention showcased a diverse lineup of guests, including well-known personalities such as Bonnie Langford, Sylvester McCoy, and Colette Hiller.

I attended the event to take advantage of a previous missed opportunity for a photo shoot with Colette Hiller from 2015.

Opportunities for Collectors at the Event

There was a mixture of POP sellers, so ideal for POP collectors to peruse. Also, if one was interested in Movie Posters, Models and Toys, there were plenty of retailers available.

And if was one was interested in autographs, there are a plethora of guests attending, for collectors to meet.

Classic Doctor Who Stars at London Film Fair

Who is the most famous classic ‘Doctor Who’?

Tom Baker of course.

Tom was the Doctor for seven years, the most famous and longest incarnation of the Doctor. I think apart from Sarah-Jane Smith, ‘Leela’ played by Louise Jameson, is one of the Doctor’s well known companions.

When I found out that Tom Baker and Louise Jameson were going to be at the Film Fair, I had to go.

I have to admit, despite the multiple sclerosis and the issues that come with it, I feel more energetic. The only way I can explain it, is I must have a rush of adrenaline; when I wake up, getting onto my transport, entering the venue and finally meeting my heroes.

After the event, it can take me days to recover from the excitement. But, it’s always worth it.
